Unveiling the Golden Pony Philosophy by Steve Bowen and James Patterson

Under every pile of shit hides a golden pony. This original quote is attributed to Steve Bowen. 

Steve Bowen, a former marine, and James Patterson worked together at J Walter Thompson advertising agency.

According to the author James Patterson who quoted Steve Bowen in his memoir: “James Patterson by James Patterson” (p.112), Bowen said:


“There’s is got to be a golden pony somewhere in all this horse shit.”

Note the affirmative attitude of Bowen – there is a golden pony and we have to find it.
