DAVID SEEFELD: CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS – CHANGE YOUR WORLD

I invited my friend, David Seefeld to write this guest blog.

Every thought you have makes up some segment of the world you see.  It is with your thoughts then, that we must work, if your perception of the world is to be changed.

CHICAGO NATO SUMMIT NOTEBOOK

Despite the historical rough and immoral reputation that Chicago has (two past state governors are currently in prison…) it is a nice and relatively tame town.  Since the Democratic convention in August 1968, Chicago hasn’t witnessed major street turmoil.  Well, to be historically correct the last street disorders were in celebration of the Chicago Bears’ super bowl championship, January 26, 1986.   Even as it was a night to remember the January cold weather kept the revelers in check.

The upcoming NATO summit (weekend of May 19-21) in Chicago is a different story.  For starters, the weather is good in Chicago in May.  The Millennium Park and Grant Park are in full bloom.

With 28 heads of state (or their next in line to power), NATO summits attract media coverage from all over the world.  Crowds of thousands of protesters find these high profile meetings an attractive venue for “peaceful demonstrations”.

Currently, a protesters’ march is planned for Sunday, May 20, from the Petrillo Band Shell in Grant Park past Library Tower on State Street towards McCormick Place, where the NATO meeting will take place.

According to Fox News, residents living in the 17-floor Library Tower building at 520 South State Street were warned in a letter from their condo management recommending that “all residents find places to stay during the conference from May 18 through May 21.”

Who plans on going there?  Being there?

THE TITANIC SANK 100 YEARS AGO – HOW IS WALL STREET DOING TODAY?

On April 14 at 11:40 PM the Titanic hit an iceberg and sank two and a half hours later in the early morning of April 15, 1912.

1,514 passengers drowned to death that night.  One hundred years later and not much has changed.

The biggest ship liner of its era, the Titanic was conceived and built for the maritime company International Mercantile Marine Co.  The owner of that company was John Pierpont Morgan, the founder of JPMorgan & Co.  The House of Morgan on 23 Wall Street was for decades the most important address in American finance.  The JP Morgan brand name through many corporate transformations is still the major U.S banking entity – JP Morgan Chase.

So, today’s brand-name owner of the sunken Titanic is still in business.

John Pierpont Morgan aimed to dominate the transatlantic shipping.  He was fortunate enough to avoid the maiden voyage of his ship the Titanic.  Richard Armour wrote about JP Morgan that hemade his money in money…

Today nothing has changed.  Wall Street bankers still make money out of thin air – it is called creative financial synthetic derivatives…  No value added in Wall Street business.

The Titanic lacked sufficient lifeboats.  The number of available lifeboats on board could serve only half of the passengers on board of the Titanic.   The corporate owner of the Titanic cut expenses then, as corporate Wall Street does it now.  Why carry a full load of lifeboats.  Lives of the third class passengers were cheaper than the first class.

Today not much has changed.  The top 1% take care of their own.  The 99% are left behind to sink.

USEFUL AWARENESS OF THE PRESENT

Here is something to ponder.

At all times think about your desired future – the future as you wish it manifested.

  • Your present is already a manifestation of your past thinking.
  • Do not dwell on the past because it will be re-manifested.
  • Use the present for positive awareness and intending your desired future.

HARVESTING MARKET FRESH HUMAN ORGANS IN CHINA

We know through our on-going follow-up of publicly available information about the harvesting of human organs from death-row inmates in China.  The Chinese practice of securing market fresh kidneys, lungs and livers.

Consider that.
A convict in China is sentenced to capital punishment.  What comes first? Execution or harvesting of the human organs?

Can harvesting of the organs precede execution?  Sure it can.
Harvesting of organs prior to execution assures the freshness of the organ.   The subsequent execution is facilitated by the state of general anesthesia the condemned prisoner is already in.

The Wall Street Journal has a new report (3/24/12) with estimates of the number of annual executions.  You can read it here:
