ASK AND RECEIVE – FLIGHT ITINERARY CHANGED

ASK AND RECEIVE – FLIGHT ITINERARY CHANGED

First is a story how airline traffic was altered in alignment with my thoughts.
It is Friday, March 1st and I am sitting with my friend David Seefeld, having breakfast at Panera in Midland Michigan.   We are both ardent students of Esther Hicks and her principles of the Law of attraction.  Our conversation is half business, half gossip.    It gets late morning and it’s time to end the chat and part our ways.  David has to go about his day’s work and I have to go to my place and get a few things done before taking an evening flight to Chicago’s O’Hare airport.

My flight is scheduled to depart at 7:43PM.   I mention to David: “I think I may stop at the airport and check-in early for this flight and have the agent put me on the waiting list for even an earlier flight at 3:32PM that departs to Chicago.”   That means that I have to go to the airport at 2 pm, go through security and wait for my chance to board the earlier flight.  If I don’t get to board that flight, I wasted most of the afternoon and I am about to waste time now, stopping at the airport  and then go home and pack and then return to the airport.  I realize that it’s not a good use of my time and I say to David: “I think I might just wait at home, get done with useful chores and travel on my original flight.”

The weather is fair.  I went home.  At about 5 PM I started to track on-line the status of my flight.  It didn’t look good.  A flight delay is anticipated.  I went at 7 PM to the airport, ready to spend time waiting for a late departure to Chicago.

I check-in, I go through security and I make myself comfortable with a book and my tablet.

As I sit, I see a plane parked at the gate.  Hmm, what is that plane for?   My plane will get here no earlier than 8:45PM for a late departure at about 9:15 PM.

A captain in uniforms stands by the boarding gate and chats with a busy agent.   I put on my friendly smile: “Are you the victimized pilot of this plane?”  And he answers: “Yes, indeed I am.”

“What are you doing here?”

Well, it turns out that this is the parked aircraft that was supposed to depart at 3:32PM, is still at the gate at 7:30PM.   My next question to the gate-agent: “Do you still have seats on this plane?  Can I board this plane to Chicago?”
The answer was: “Yes and yes.”

At about 8PM, I depart on a plane to Chicago O’Hare, practically without delay, according to my original itinerary.  Better yet, the 3:32PM plane has been waiting for me at the gate for 4 hours as I first wished earlier in the morning to get me on-time to Chicago.

I asked for and received a flight to Chicago on board the plane that I wished.  The plane was parked idly by the gate, waiting for my check-in at the airport.  Once I arrived at the gate and boarded this plane departed about 10 minutes late from my booked itinerary.

Let’s do some analysis.

If you understand the Law of Attraction and live in the mindset of the Law of Attraction as I do, this kind of scenario does not surprise you.

You ask and you receive.  You do not have to write, you do not have to call, and even your fees are waived.  Often time you do not have to do anything except ask and effortlessly – receive.

All you have to is – know what you want!

Next, there are no time delays between the asking and receiving.   All you have to do is ask, and whatever you ask is pre-arranged for you to receive – instantaneously!

The Law of Attraction is creating continuously and interminably!

If you wish to understand the psychological mechanisms of action of the Law of Attraction you can find them in the first part of my new book “The master Attractor”.

HABAKKUK AND THE ART OF BREWING COFFEE

HABAKKUK AND THE ART OF BREWING COFFEE

Learn from HabakkuK the principle of brewing divine tasting coffee.

HabakkuK specified four phases in the process of manifesting.  The third, the waiting phase, is the most challenging to people.  Most folks want to realize instant manifestation.  Like instant gratification.  If they fail to manifest instantly, they are not gratified and they blame the Law of Attraction.

We explained in our books and in various blogs that time is relative.  Consequently what is assured by HabakkuK is the ultimate realization of the vision not necessarily the timeline.

In HabakkuK’s own language:

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak and not lie;

Though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come,   (Hab. 2:3)

Ultimate manifestation is the law – the Law of Attraction.

#          #          #

Here is where HabakkuK’s coffee brewing skills come into play.

You can make a quick cup of coffee from instant coffee.  Nescafe Taster’s Choice will suffice.

If you want real good full-bodied dark roasted coffee you have to be willing to first get the right Arabica, Columbian or Sumatra coffee beans, grind the dark roasted beans to your satisfaction and then slowly let the coffee brew.  Some even cook the coffee on direct fire-lit stove.  For freshly brewed original coffee you have to wait for best results.  Wait in the Zen state for Zen tasting of brewed coffee.

So is attraction and manifestation of anything else – wait in the Zen.

THE ZEN OF GOAL ACHIEVEMENT

THE ZEN OF GOAL ACHIEVEMENT

Organizational and corporate approach to goal setting and goal achievement is straight forward.  Goal setting and achievement is taught as a technical skill class to high-school seniors or freshman year in college.  Leadership within the structure of any organizational team requires familiarity with the framework of goal-setting and achievement mechanics.

#        #        #

The common element in the practices of goal-setting and achievement consists first of a definition of what is a goal – a specific objective to be achieved and its associated plan outlining the actions steps required to achieve the goal.

Classically the defined goal must be:
specific, measurable, realistic and action-oriented, it is time-bounded.
In the corporate world, the goal must be written and shared with a team or with a supervisory level in the case of an individual goal pertaining to personal productivity.  When the goal involves a team it is shared with the team. Planning the goal achievement process involves the entire team if appropriate.

Strategies to manifest results and achieve the goal are ideally a product of a consensus agreement of the team. Responsibilities are shared among team members.  The progress towards the goal achievement is reviewed periodically.

If this description sounds to you linear and mechanistic – you are right.  It is typical for the western philosophy to view the world in straight Euclidian geometric lines.

#        #        #

But wait.  There is a vast universe outside the corporate world.  There is society besides western civilization.  Intelligent people in all societies who achieve big goals are aware that goal-setting and goal achieving is not linear and rigid as described.  Some paths to achievement are circular or elliptical.

Goals, all goals, materialize through spiritual channels.  Anything that is spiritual is not necessarily a straight line.  Consider this saying:

“Thoughts are like boomerangs, returning with precision to their source.
Choose wisely which ones you throw.”

Thoughts move around in circles or ellipses.  Every completed cycle returns to the sender after undergoing some “processing”, or some remodeling.  The thought that returns is reshaped and “refitted”.

As a thinker you do not need to do anything physical, except observe your new and improved intellectual product.  If you like this new product be ready to receive it.

We call it, Zen Attraction & Manifestation.

Goal achievement is a gentle Zen like process.

We call it Zen-like process knowing full well that no one knows for sure what the Zen state is.

As we explain elsewhere each goal is conceived first in the mind.  A goal is a thought.  A goal has a thought at its inception.  A thought is spiritual, and everything spiritual has a way of materializing.
The Law of Attraction is always creating.  It does not need committees, nor does it obey management’s deadlines.  Once you wrote down a goal the Law of Attraction starts to assemble and match the required components for completion and final manifestation of the objective.  The Law of Attraction processes are ceaseless.  The Law of Attraction does not go on a holiday vacation.

The process of manifestation can be effortless if you do not stand on the way of manifestation.  The universe is infinitely rich in resources and the universe does not need human assistance in manifesting.

#        #        #

Time to manifestation, or a “deadline”, is not subject to managements’ directives because time is relative.  People and governments change their time to fit their convenience.  They call the time they set standard time or change the digit on the clock and call it day light savings’ time.  Big corporations notoriously miss their production deadline.

#        #        #

Here is what you and your team can do to achieve a goal.

Decide among yourself what the goal is, as clearly as you can.  Do not change your mind about your goal in the midst of the process.

Determine approximately what supportive resources you will need to materialize – achieve – your goal.

Anticipate receiving of your resources from any supplier, expected or not.

Watch how the goal is manifested.  Be ready to accept it!  If your help is necessary you will be told.

Try it for yourself – test the Law of Attraction.

ALBERT CAMUS ON MEDICAL PROGNOSIS

ALBERT CAMUS ON MEDICAL PROGNOSIS

“I have no idea what’s awaiting me, or what will happen when this all ends. For the moment I know this: there are sick people and they need curing.”

~ Albert Camus (1913-1960)

The wit and wisdom of Albert Camus won him a Nobel prize in literature (1957).  It was his kaleidoscopic view of life that shaped him into the great philosopher he was – an existentialist.  The Nobel foundation has no prize for philosophy.   Camus had no medical degree so they did not award him the Nobel prize in medicine.  Therefore they were left with only one choice and awarded him the Nobel Prize in literature.

From the other side of the table – Albert Camus was a patient.  He was diagnosed with tuberculosis at a young age and struggled with recurrences most of his life.

In my book The Master Attractor I have a clear advice:

Stay away from physicians who use the language, “The prognosis is guarded”.  That is euphemism for saying the patients is “terminal”.  Definitely stay away from doctors whose opinion is that “the patient has six months to live”.  How do they know?  Those opinions are held by physicians who are reluctant to do what it takes to cure and heal the patient.

When you or your family member hears a physician who has an opinion on who will die and when, just walk out quickly and find another physician who holds an optimistic view of life.  That particularly applies to cancer patients who may be difficult to heal.

Ironically Camus wrote a novel titled “The Plague”.
Camus died during a car accident.  The driver of the car was his publisher, Michel Gallimard.

THE VISIONARY LEADER

THE VISIONARY LEADER

A leadership vision is the ability to perceive the possibilities that are available to people, tribe, society or nation and create a novel picture of where the body of people will achieve and be in the future.

A vision is similar in its meaning to the synonymous terms – dream, image, or trance.   A vision is an idea!

A vision sets a clear, focused picture and direction that will take the society to a specific destination.

People are motivated to accomplish when they have a clear understanding of the purpose of a task or activity that promises some benefit to them.  The visionary leader provides this purpose and meaning by developing and sharing his vision and communicating by all means with his followers.

The message of the vision does not address details.  Everything that happens moves the organization or society in the direction of attracting the circumstances and manifesting the vision.

On August 28, 1963, Martin Luther King addressed the people assembled on the national mall in Washington DC where he proclaimed the prophetic words: “I have a dream.”  The speech was melodic, it was poetic and it is full of imagery.  As a result it moved the nation and Congress to enact the Civil Rights law.  King was a visionary leader – a Master Attractor – who accomplished his vision by the compelling power of his words.

On May 25, 1961, President John F Kennedy set before Congress a visionary goal to send a man to the moon and return him safe back to earth before the decade is over.  Congress approved and supported this vision.  The first man set his step on the moon on July 21, 1969.

On June 12, 1987, President Ronald Reagan stood by the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin and decreed, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.”  The Berlin Wall cracked open on November 9, 1989, without bloodshed.  Reagan is now a president revered by all political ideologues as the president who brought down the soviet empire without sending one soldier to battle.

What is happening when a visionary leader sets an objective?

Many fellow men and women see in their mind’s eye that same vision that the leader communicated and join forces to work together to assemble all the matching components, necessary to accomplish and manifest the objective.  Sometimes the idea takes hold in the mind of adversaries too as we saw how Reagan brought to its knees the soviet empire.

Lack of visionary leadership results in apathy and erosion of society.  As the Bible says: “Without vision people perish.”  (Prov. 23:18).  Every leader, regardless of their vision is a Master Attractor.  They attract their followers by the powers of the mind.

WHO IS AN ETHICIST?

So who is an Ethicist you ask?

An Ethicist is a person who makes it his business to allocate the blame to others in a manner that seems fair to him.

In deference to the distinguished field of philosophy I avoid here the tempting attempt to psychoanalyze the personality of the ethicist…

MONEY MAGAZINE: INVEST IN TOASTMASTERS

Money Magazine in its October 2012 issue (p. 70) has a collage article titled:
“WHAT TO DO WITH $1,000 NOW!”

Among other investment ideas it suggests:
“Polish your presentation skills.  Knowing how to effectively communicate ideas to your boss and clients can expand and extend your career.”

So with whom would invest the tuition money for public speaking training?

The writer starts with… $775 for a course run by the National Speakers Association.  Next they suggest: Join Toastmasters International ($192 a year) to learn the art of making witty impromptu remarks.  And then next, pay a private speaking coach.

I enthusiastically support with the idea that training in public speaking is a wonderful investment that keeps on giving.  But the writer is giving bad financial advice when it comes to facts and figures.   The NSA is not a place for beginners.

The place to start is your nearest Toastmasters’ Club.  The nominal annual membership fee is around $100 or less, split in installments.   And no – Toastmasters is not about making witty remarks.  It’s about making short, impactful business and teaching presentations like sales presentations or stump speeches on your feet if you dream to run for election to PTA or any elected public office.

So, if I had only one Grand to invest I’ll invest one tenth of it in Toastmasters International.

7 REASONS TO SLEEP 7 HOURS 7 NIGHTS A WEEK

Sleep is a natural process characterized by low or absent consciousness and very little to absent body motion. The timing of sleep is usually controlled by an internal body clock that is also known as the circadian clock. All mammal animals sleep. There is a special gene that that determines the amount of time that each individual person requires for sleep. The average duration of time required for sleep by an adult person is seven hours.

Lack of adequate sleep is shown to double the risk of death from cardio-vascular diseases (i.e. “heart disease”). Inadequate sleep is associated with high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes. Chronic sleep deficit results in diminished ability to perform high-level cognitive function (i.e. thinking). Sleeping difficulty is associated with psychiatric disorders like depression, alcoholism and bipolar disorder.

Here are 7 reasons why you must sleep 7 hours every night (or day).
 Sleep is required for body healing and restoration. During sleep body organs such as muscles are repaired. Wounds are healed during sleep. The immune system is maintained and revitalized.
 During nightly sleep hormonal functions take place on a cycle called circadian rhythm. Some of those involve the brain’s pineal gland that secretes melatonin that modulates the sleep cycle. The brain’s pituitary gland secretes hormones cyclically. Pituitary secreted growth hormone is mandatory for children’s growth. Pituitary ACTH secretions include orderly secretion of endorphins (among other hormones) that make us feel optimistic and well. Other secreted hormones control appetite.
 During sleep the body’s available stores of immediate energy such as muscle glycogen are replenished.
 Importantly, during sleep the brain takes time to process mental impressions, pleasant and unpleasant emotions, information from our environment and it synthesizes new ideas. Guiltless sexual activity occurs during sleep. Adequate sleep is required for thinking functions like reasoning and decision making. We need our sleep to maintain our sanity.
 During sleep many obnoxious external sensory stimuli are shut out. As a result less adrenaline is secreted and blood pressure comes down naturally. During sleep the heart beat tends to be regular and slower and episodes of irregular heartbeats (palpitations) decline.
 Sleep is required to maintain our safe existence and survival. Restful sleep enhances good judgment during car driving. Car accidents due to impaired driving are caused not only by alcohol but also by lack of adequate sleep. Same is true for prevention of industrial accidents caused while operating heavy mechanical equipment. Commercial aviation pilots are mandated a minimal hours of sleep during long-range trans-oceanic flights.
 Dreaming is an obligatory high level mental activity that takes place during sleep. The function of dreaming is subject to speculations. One thing is clear – dreaming is part of being human. No human would like to be deprived of his or her dreams.

You have to have a dream to make a dream come true!

Here are 7 actions you can take to get enough sleep 7 hours 7 days a week.

o Go to bed and sleep 7 hours at about the same time in all of 7 days of the week. Do that even if you work night shifts.
o Create a regular relaxing activity an hour before bedtime. Listen to soothing music or take a warm bath.
o Banish sleep-interrupters from your bedroom. Turn off TV, cell-phone, and computers. The light emitted from your electronic equipment confuses your circadian clock.
o If you sleep regularly during daytime make sure that your bedroom is darkened by proper heavy blinds that block daylight.
o Avoid alcohol and caffeinated beverages before bedtime.
o Melatonin is an over-the-counter natural sleep adjunct. It makes more sense to use melatonin than sleeping pills. Melatonin is useful in recovering from sleep disrupting jet-lag.
o People who cannot sleep because of anxiety will do best to consult a mental health practitioner for help. Further referral to a reputable specialized sleep clinic may provide beneficial advanced remedies.
